London, Nov 17(IANS) Techno star Moby has refused to take medication for his insomnia because he fears he will get addicted to sleeping pills.

DJ Moby regularly jets across the US and Europe for shows and finds himself struggling to fall asleep after shows. His insomnia problem is so bad that he often hallucinates through lack of sleep but says that he won't turn to medication to solve his restlessness, reports contactmusic.com.

'I do occasionally take sleeping pills but there is this long history of travelling musicians and public figures getting addicted to prescription drugs, so I think I have seen too many horror stories and try hard to stay away from pharmaceuticals,' said Moby.

'Even being insomniac is a bad thing. You start hallucinating and seeing rats on the floor. It is a kind of bad drug experience without the drugs,' he added.
