New Delhi, Nov 17 (IANS) Shop till you drop and then pamper yourself with a relaxing back massage or a rejuvenating foot massage. Sounds irresistible? Then a visit to the Thai massage stall at the ongoing India International Trade Fair is a must.

The Thai massage stall in the Thailand pavilion invites visitors to just drop their heavy shopping bags, sit back, stretch and let a professional masseur from Bangkok take over and massage the pains away.

It's the first time that Wat Po's Thai Traditional Medical School is participating in the fair, but going by the beeline of customers, the stall seems to have become very popular in the three days since the fair opened.

'We have five masseurs who are professionally trained in Thai massage. The response that we have been getting is very good. Once the general public comes in from Nov 19, I am sure that business will get even better,' said Serat Tangtrongchitr, manager of the stall.

A complete contrast to the buzzing stalls nearby selling a variety of ware like bags, artificial flowers, accessories and crockery, the massage stall has the masseurs - both men and women - silently working on the customers as they either sit on chairs or lie on mats.

Depending on the amount of time you want the massage for - 15 minutes, 30 minutes or one hour - the sessions are priced between Rs.200-600.

One can either go for a head and body massage or opt for a foot massage.

Sugandha Dey, a customer who got herself a foot massage, said: 'I think this stall is one of the best in the trade fair!'

Agreed Ravi Sharma, a businessman. 'I think this stall is a great idea. Even without the general public being allowed in, we had to wait for 20 minutes for our turn. I can well imagine what will happen later,' he added.

The 29th edition of the India International Trade Fair opened for business visitors Saturday with 7,500 domestic and overseas exhibitors from 29 countries.

The 14-day fair has China as the focus country and Thailand as the partner nation this year. It will open for the public Nov 19.
