New Delhi, Nov 17 External Affairs Minister S. M. Krishna on Tuesday said that the country's security would be looked into carefully following the arrest of David Coleman Headley, a Pakistan-born American national, by FBI for plotting terror-attacks overseas including India.

Addressing the media on the sidelines of a conference in the national capital, Krishna said that the issues of granting visa to Headley by Indian Consulate General in Chicago without Home Ministry's clearance and visits by Tahawwur Rehman Rana to various cities in Kochi would be looked into very carefully from the security angle.

"Well all these issues are going to be looked into very carefully from the point of view of the security angle involved and perhaps in the days to come you might hear more about it," Krishna said.

According to reports, Headley came in close contact with several unidentified leaders of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), a Pakistan-based terrorist organization with links to Al-Qaeda. The Chicago resident was arrested with Pakistan-born Canadian citizen Rana.

Meanwhile, on being asked about any information obtained from the ISI agent arrested at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi Airport on Thursday, Krishna said that investigation processes are due to take place on him.

"I think you have stated the fact and as far as what follows from that depends upon various processes that are due to take place," Krishna added.

The ISI agent was a member of an operating cell in the capital. He was on his way to Saudi Arabia.

The disclosure was made on Monday after the investigating agencies, including the Special Cell of Delhi Police, traced the rented accommodation of the arrested agent. (ANI)
