Kolkata, Oct 19 Skinny models gave way to average sized and buxom ones at designer Tejas Gandhi's fashion show in Kolkata. Gandhi's collection featured trendy clothes for people with all kinds of sizes, away from the size zero fashion image. He said that it was important to be healthy and be comfortable in what one is. Size zero, he pointed out was absolutely unhealthy. "Its just the different size. I think its just about feeling good about yourself," said Gandhi. The models were excited with this tryst with the ramp, something they never expected to do. "Well in other shows I had a perception that you need to have a hourglass figure to walk the ramp. I am not even near the word 'hour', and it's very different," says Shubhra Dutta, one of the models. The show was organized by the Mani Square and the Bariatrics and Metabolism Initiative (BMI). It focused on creating awareness on obesity related problems and importance of leading a healthy lifestyle. It also emphasised on being healthy, neither obese nor too thin. (ANI)
