Ahmedabad, Nov 19 Sri Lankan batsman Mahela Jayawardene has become only the seventh batsman in Test cricket to score six or more double hundreds. He made 204 not out against India in the first Test.

Jayawardene, who notched up a second double hundred against India, said that it was like any other century that he had scored in the past.

"For me, any hundred is a hundred. I mean it's very important, but even the situation today and the match playing against India, I think it has been my first but importantly I have only played three Test matches here and this is my fourth. I had a couple of fifties here in the last tour and I was very disappointed and I was very determined to get my first hundred here as well," Jayawardene told a news conference here.

Jayawardene also said that his goal is to beat India in the Test match in India.

"We have a very realistic opportunity of beating India with the team that we have and the way we have been playing for the last two to three years. So, it is one of our goals, and I think the way everything has shaped up, we would be disappointed that we let India get away after this," he added.

Sri Lanka are ranked second behind South Africa in official Test rankings and are aiming to win their first Test match on Indian soil since their first visit here in 1982. (ANI)
