Noida, Nov 19 (IANS) The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) Thursday introduced 20 of its new low-floor buses on its service between Noida and Delhi. However, one of them had an accident on the first day itself.

The new green low-floor buses were introduced on different routes between the two places. These buses ran on Route No 33 between Noida and Bhajanpura and on Route 34 between Noida and Mehrauli.

The new fleet of buses was flagged off by DTC Depot Manager Prem Chand from the depot in Sector 16.

The buses on these two routes completed two trips each on the first day of the service. However, the brakes of one of its buses (No DL1PC 7165) failed as it approached the Harola Park and the vehicle hit a bus and finally the divider.

No one was, however, injured, in the incident. Angry people pelted stones on the new bus due to which one of its front window panes got broken. Some windows also broke due to the impact of hitting the other bus, sources said.

No case was registered.

The dtc low floor buses from Bhanjanpura to Noida is very poor and people are suffering for the buses. It is very difficult to travel and no bus timing is been followed. The bus no.C7190 at 7.55 a.m. got overloaded and bus driver didnot start the bus due to the overload and the public had to suffer at the stand of anand vihar. Who's responsible for all this matters. Why we should suffer due to the govt rules the rules are not followed. I would wish that the blueline should be started again and again. When the low floor buses r getting overloaded then how come blueline buses didnot be overloaded. Please look into this matter at the earliest., Manju Bisht (12/14/2009 10:23:34 AM)
