Almaty to host first forum on security and cooperation in Central Asian-Caspian region

Almaty, Aug.20 (ANI): The first conference on security and cooperation in Central Asian-Caspian region will be held in Almaty on August 25. he Institute of World Economy and Politics, Almaty will organize the conference, in cooperation with the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan. The participants will make analysis and discuss the role of Central Asian-Caspian region in the global and Asian security system, interaction and cooperation in economic, political, politico-military and other spheres," the MFA's representative said.

The conference's timing corresponds with the CICA ministerial meeting, contributing to the overall deliberations on the Asian security issues.

India will be represented by Ambassador P.S. Sahai, Principal Advisor (Honorary), Centre for Caucasian and Central Asian Study, Chandigarh. (ANI)
