New York, Nov 20 Chinese actress Gong Li has made headlines after she renounced her Chinese citizenship to become a citizen of Singapore.

Her move has caused a big scandal, and created much interest on the Internet in China.

Li will be moving on to her tobacco-tycoon husband's homeland though without the blessings of her fans.

As reported by Post film editor V.A. Musetto, bloggers are branding the 42-year-old "Miami Vice" star a traitor and calling for a boycott of her films.

"All traitors will be nailed to history's mast of shame," the New York Post quoted one angry ex-fan as saying. (ANI)
