Delhi records season's lowest temperature

New Delhi, Nov 21 Woke up feeling colder than usual this morning? Thanks to the westerly winds blowing over the capital, Delhi recorded the season's lowest temperature of 8.6 degrees Celsius Saturday, met officials said.

New Delhi, Nov 21 (IANS) Woke up feeling colder than usual this morning? Thanks to the westerly winds blowing over the capital, Delhi recorded the season's lowest temperature of 8.6 degrees Celsius Saturday, met officials said.

'There has been a sudden dip in the temperature because of the westerly winds. This morning, we recorded a dip of two degrees Celsius in the minimum temperature,' an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

The minimum temperature recorded at 8.30 a.m. was 8.6 degrees Celsius. On Friday, the minimum temperature was 10.7 degrees Celsius.

'Today's was the season's lowest temperature, until now,' the official added.

While it is expected to get warmer during the day, the maximum temperature will not go beyond 23 degrees Celsius, the official further said.
