New Delhi, July 22 (ANI): Bahujan Samajwadi Party Member of Parliament Brajesh Pathak today alleged during the Lok Sabha debate that senior CBI officers had visited some leaders of the party over the past few days and compelled them to vote for the ruling party.

He also said that any failure on the part of the BSP MPs on this score would lead to Government unleashing the fury of the CBI on their leader Mayawati.

He said this was the gravest misuse of the Government's premier investigative agency.

A couple of them even told the Speaker that they felt completely threatened and appealed for protection.

The Speaker said that he would provide them with full protection, and referred the matter to the Home Ministry.

All Members of Parliament demanded that a House Committee be formed to go into this serious allegation.

The Communist Party of India Marxist Member of Parliament Achari also alleged that the UPA Government is using CBI to muster majority.

Communist Party of India MP Gurudas Das Gupta demanded a House probe into the allegation. (ANI)
