New Delhi, BMW India will launch the BMW Golf Cup International 2009 in India across ten cities - Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Chandigarh, Pune, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Gurgaon. BMW India Dealerships in these cities will organize the tournament from 24 October 2009 onwards.
In the national final that will be held on 23 January 2010 in the National Capital Region (Gurgaon) at the DLF Golf & Country Club, participants can win the Hole-in-one offer and drive home a brand new BMW Z4.
An exclusive, invitation-only event, the BMW Golf Cup International 2009 is an amateur golf tournament series designed for customers, prospects and opinion leaders and provides the right mix for an exclusive social interaction. India is one of 50 participating countries where 100,000 players will compete across 1,000 qualifying tournaments. The finalists will then converge at the BMW Golf Cup International 2009 World Final to be held from 1 to 6 March 2010 in Fancourt Golf Resort, George, South Africa.
Mr. Peter Kronschnabl, President BMW India said, "BMW is one of the biggest supporters of golf and has helped foster amateur golf on a global basis. Therefore, it is with great pride that we officially introduce BMW Golf Cup International 2009 in India. Last year we concluded the BMW Golf Cup International 2008 with Rudratej Singh from Mumbai winning the 2nd position in the Men's Category A. We hope to see similar success from this year's participants, and are proud to host one of the leading amateur tournaments in the country that will attract not just our customers, prospects and opinion leaders but also other patrons of the game."
During the tournament, participants can win the Hole-in-one offer and drive home in a brand new BMW 5 Series. Hole-in-one is an extraordinarily tempting offer, but one that most pros have yet to take up. Anyone who wants to win a BMW 5 Series at the BMW Golf Cup International 2009 in India must meet two important criteria: first, they must score a hole-in-one and it must be on the specific hole, where the BMW 5 Series is awarded as the prize. The Hole-in-one is presented by BMW Financial Services across all tournaments. -BWI
