Bokaro, Feb 23 (IANS) Two students, who were going to school on a bike, died after they were hit by a speedy truck in steel city Bokaro in Jharkhand Tuesday, police said.

The bike of Class Nine students -- Sonu and Biswajit -- was hit by the truck at sector 12 round-about of Bokaro, around 110 km from state capital Ranchi.

'The truck driver tried to escape but he has been arrested,' a police official told IANS.

He added: 'The bodies have been sent for post-mortem.'

The students were residents of Bokaro.
