London, Oct 23 Late Brit celebrity Jade Goody's family has settled a High Court action over photographs taken at the Big Brother star's private burial. Goody's mother Jackiey Budden, grandparents John and Sylvia Caddock, aunt and uncle Angela and Trevor Cox, and cousins Lee and Danny Andrews made claims of invasion of privacy and a breach of confidence, the BBC reports. Mirror Group Newspapers and picture agency NewsPics agreed to pay 35,000 pounds in damages, as well as legal costs, at the hearing on October 22. In a consent order approved by the High Court, MGN Limited and Newspics Limited gave undertakings to the family that they would not publish, republish, syndicate, use or disseminate any of the photographs of the private burial, or any similar photographs in the future. MGN Limited has also written to the family, accepting that they had a reasonable expectation of privacy in respect of such photographs and apologising for the distress caused. Goody's funeral had been a highly public affair, with thousands of people turning out to see the procession, which travelled through London before reaching Buckhurst Hill in Essex. The ceremony was relayed to members of the public on huge screens and speakers outside St John's Church in Buckhurst Hill, Essex. The picture published in the Sunday tabloid, however, showed a group of mourners at Goody's burial, which was a private event. (ANI)
