569 trucks reach Kashmir valley in last 24 hours

The Ministry of Home Affairs said on Sunday that as many as 569 load carriers with essentials and fuel arrived in the Kashmir valley during the last 24 hours

New Delhi, August 24 (ANI): The Ministry of Home Affairs said on Sunday that as many as 569 load carriers with essentials and fuel arrived in the Kashmir valley during the last 24 hours.

The Ministry said as per the information received from the Jammu and Kashmir Government, these included 108 loaded with rice, 32 with flour, 29 with sheep, 25 with sugar, 26 with chicken and 30 with fresh fruit.

Besides 28 tankers with diesel, 11 with kerosene oil, 20 with petrol and seven with LPG also reached Srinagar today during the period.

Another 239 trucks loaded with other commodities and 14 empty trucks after off-loading the goods outside the valley also arrived during the same period.

Moreover, 317 trucks and tankers left the valley for different destinations in the country during the past 24 hours up to 2 p.m. today.

These include 101 trucks loaded with fresh fruit, 11 with vegetables, 36 with other commodities and 169 empty tankers and trucks left the valley after unloading the goods. (ANI)
