London, October 24 John Travolta wants his extortion case to be transferred to the US after a judge in the Bahamas ordered a new trial. Senior Justice Anita Allen declared a mistrial and ordered a new one for the two people, former Bahamas senator Pleasant Bridgewater and paramedic Tarino Lightbourne, accused of trying to extort 17.2 million pounds from the Hollywood actor following the death of his son Jett in Bahamas. According to the New York Post, a lawyer for the Grease star, who lost his 16-year-old boy after he suffered a seizure earlier this year, is trying to get the criminal charges heard in Jacksonville, Florida, reports the Daily Express. Attorney Michael Ossi said: "I have asked the Bahamian authorities to preserve all the evidence for the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) to review, and I have written to the federal government and the Bahamian government about trying the case in Florida. "The original call was made from the Bahamas to Florida, so there is jurisdiction for a trial in the U.S." (ANI)
