Islamabad, June 25 Showering praise on the Pakistan cricket team for winning the ICC Twenty20 World Championship, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani announced a reward of 10 million rupees for the players. Gilani hosted a reception party in the honour of the champion team here on Wednesday, and commended the players for winning the coveted title. "We should be proud of being Pakistani. It is the spirit of being Pakistani that has led the national cricket team to victory. The team has made the country proud by bringing home the Twenty20 World Cup," said Gilani on the occasion. Commenting on the existential threat that the Taliban and other extremists pose, Gilani said Pakistan would not allow the terrorists' malicious agenda to succeed, The Daily Times reports. (ANI)
