Kolkata, Aug 25 (ANI): In a fresh bid to end the Singur land impasse, the West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee on Monday wrote another letter to Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee.

TMC is on an indefinite agitation at Singur demanding immediate return of 400 acres to farmers unwilling to part with their land.

West Bengal Home secretary Ashok Mohan Chakraborty told media persons that senior officers of the state Home department would hand over the letter to Banerjee.

The letter comes following the Trinamool chief's proposal to end the deadlock, suggesting that there was a 500-acre low-lying plot near to the small car plant where the ancillary units could come up.

On Sunday, while launching her agitation, Banerjee said if the government agreed, the proposal could be shared with them. (ANI)
