London, Aug 25 (ANI): English pop singer songwriter Melanie Brown will renew her vows with her hubby Stephen Belafonte in front of a number of people who are strangers to her.

Mel B married film director Belafonte about 15 months ago in a low-key, secret affair, and Scary Spice would now like to have a bigger and costlier wedding.

In order to make the dream wedding come true, the happy couple agreed to let their big day be featured in OK! magazine for an estimated 200,000 pounds.

But the offer has a catch in it, and that is, the ceremony should take place in a posh resort in Egypt and it should be witnessed by a host of celebs.

It would have been a walk in the part for the celeb had it not been for the fact that she has not made many friends since making her home in America for the past four years and for her British A-list pals being in short supply.

The whole affair has left Mel scrabbling around to invite stars she's never actually spoken to, luring them with the promise of first-class flights and a luxury hotel. So far, Fearne Cotton, Sarah Harding, Denise Van Outen and Rachel Stevens have all been invited, but sadly none of them are able to attend.

"Mel and Stephen wanted a lavish do to celebrate their relationship. They agreed to allow the event to be covered by a magazine but are obliged to fulfil certain requirements," Daily Mirror quoted a source as having revealed.

"One of these is a certain quota of well-known faces - family and close friends simply won't do.

"Most of her friends now are American and Mel keeps herself away from the showbiz scene in London. And she has felt slightly pressured into inviting celebs she's not actually met. But whatever happens Stephen or Mel will have a fantastic day," the source added. (ANI)
