Dhaka, Jan 26 (IANS) India middle-order batsman Yuvraj Singh has been ruled out for the rest of the ongoing second Test against Bangladesh with a ligament tear in his left wrist while Rahul Dravid, who got a nasty hit on his face Monday, will be returning home.

Yuvraj did not come out to bat in India's first innings and coach Gary Kirsten said he will no longer be a part of the match.

'He has a torn cartilage on this wrist. Yuvraj will be struggling to make it for the first Test against South Africa. He will be out for a while. But he will stay till this game ends,' Kirsten was quoted as saying in Cricinfo.

Dravid was hit in the jaw by a Shahdat Hossain bouncer when batting Monday and needed immediate medical attention.

Dravid, who was hospitalised Monday has been discharged.

'He has got quite a nasty injury to his face. He is currently staying in Bangladesh. Later, he will consult a specialist to find out what needs to be done and how long he would be out. For Rahul, we don't have the long-term prognosis,' Kirsten said.

Injuries have plagued the Indian camp in the tour. V.V.S.Laxman and Shanthakumaran Sreesanth had to miss the second Test with injuries. Laxman injured his left hand while fielding at slip in the first Test while Sreesanth strained his hamstring.
