Amreli (Gujarat), Apr 26 Gujarat Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Narendra Modi on Sunday lashed out at Congress President Sonia Gandhi for her demand that the State Government should give an account of the Central funds used in the state, saying the UPA chairperson does not have primary knowledge of how the government functions.

"Sonia Gandhi does not have primary knowledge of how the government functions. I would like to tell Sonia that state government has to send expenditure reports to the Central ministry every two months. Why don't you open those reports and have a look instead of asking us," Modi said at an election rally here.

Modi also accused the Congress of allegedly messing up the economy like 'termites'.

"We need to get rid of the termites called Congress and bring BJP's prime ministerial candidate Lal Krishna Advani led-NDA to power and put the country on the path to progress," he added. (ANI)
