New Delhi, In an era where from multinational CEOs to maidservants, all use mobile phones, Railway Minister Lalu Prasad loathes carrying one though he oversees one of the largest rail networks in the world. 'Mobile phones have become an indispensable part of our lives but these days it is being misused and hence I don't like to keep one,' he said on the sidelines of a conference organised by National Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) here. According to him, people today are using mobile phones for sending photos and songs and similar purposes, which were earlier unknown. Narrating an incident of how once a minister's phone was misused and the ordeal that he had to face, Lalu Prasad remarked: 'It is better that my assistants and secretaries keep the phones and not me. 'Mobile technology today has grown by leaps and bounds with the help of a booming IT industry and I wish we maintain the growth and do not misuse it.'
