Gwalior, July 26 (ANI): Heavy downpour has led to a rise in water level of Harsi dam in Gwalior District of Madhya Pradesh, disrupting normal life and forcing people to use boats and tubes.

The overflowing of water from Harsi dam has raised the water level of Parvati river, thus marooning the people of nearby villages.

Normal life has been disrupted, as people are not able to move out.

The Sub-Divisional Magistrate of the region, Anil Vyas, has assured relief for the stranded people in the village.

An emergency team has reached the village and a team of doctors has been called in to prevent spread of epidemics in the village.

He also added that arrangements for evacuation are in place in case of an emergency. (ANI)
