Kathmandu, August 26 (ANI): Nepali Ambassador to China Tanka Karki said on Tuesday that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal's China visit has strengthened the relations between Nepal and her northern neighbour.

The bilateral relations with China is believed to be extending further as Prime Minister Dahal discussed the Chinese support to Nepal in various sectors including economic and technical in his meetings with his Chinese counterpart and the Chinese president.

In an interview with Kantipur today, Karki said Dahal's China visit has been quite an achievement.

"The prime minister was not only for the extension of bilateral ties," Karki said. "Nepal has also hoped that China would extend more assistance to Nepal in the coming days," he added.

Dahal's China visit by putting off India's invitation, though it was said to be for taking part in the closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympics, has been considered to be of political significance in the diplomatic circle.
