Nepali Congress analyses its future role

Kathmandu, Aug 26 (ANI): The central committee meeting of Nepali Congress (NC) the main opposition party continues for the second day today.

The meeting is evaluating the party's performance after the party was forced to stay in the opposition following the ascent of Maoists to power.

Senior Nepali Congress leaders have said that the meeting will also analyse the role to be played by Congress in the coming days in course of writing new Constitution through the Constituent Assembly (CA).

On Monday, Nepali Congress leaders Narahari Acharya and Bimalendra Nidhi had submitted separate political reports.

In his report, Acharya has criticised the party leadership for failing to bring about emotional unity between Nepali Congress and NC-Democratic and has called for Maha Samiti meeting at the soonest, Nepalnews reported. (ANI)
