London, Oct 26 Military chiefs have apparently rejected former glamour model Katie Price a.k.a. Jordan's appeal to visit war-torn Afghanistan on Christmas - because she is too tacky for the troops.

They believe she would use the trip as a shameless publicity stunt to help flog her merchandise.

"Her bid was considered like all the others the MoD gets from celebrities. But they weren't happy about this one," the Daily Star quoted a source as saying.

They looked at her lifestyle and felt her current image was not something they wanted to be involved with.

"She never really stood a chance. Let's just say it was all thought to be a bit too tacky," the source added.

It is said that the MoD has told Kate that spaces were extremely limited on flights and there was a waiting list for media trips.

However, Jordan's ex-husband Peter Andre, has been invited to perform at a Christmas ball for the wives of British soldiers serving in Afghanistan. (ANI)
