Washington, Oct 26 Robert Pattinson says he was inspired by James Dean's character in 'Rebel Without A Cause' when he played Edward Cullen in the blockbuster 'Twilight'.

Pattinson confesses to have done a thorough research before he played the vampire in 'Twilight'.

"Rebel Without A Cause was a big influence on the first (Twilight film) - it influenced the hairdo and stuff. In lots of ways, it has a very similar character arc: an everyday girl brings this relatively strange individual out of his slump," Contactmusic quoted him as telling USA Weekend mag. (ANI)
