New Delhi, July 27 Former Pakistani bowler Wasim Akram on Monday said he has no hesitation in offering help to the Indian bowlers if he is asked by the Indian cricket board, but doesn't want to be a full time coach.

On the sidelines of the inaugural function of a cricket academy, promoted by PepsiCo in the national capital on Monday, Akram said: "I can't coach [for] the entire year. I don't have the patience in general or personality. So I am happy where I am. But again if Indian cricket board asks me to help their bowlers, so I am there to help...week or ten days I can give to their bowlers....at this level you don't need coaching everyday. You just need a reminder every month or two...just to tell them what they are doing wrong, what should be they doing."

Akram is among the ace coaches retained by this academy, which he will visit periodically.

It may be recalled that he had to face public ire when he offered to coach Irfan Pathan, the Indian cricketer who is also a left arm fast bowler.

The legendary left arm fast bowler Akram (43) said he is ready to coach young bowlers irrespective of their nationalities.

"I can help youngsters. For me, it doesn't matter whether they belong to India, Australia or Pakistan. This thing I can give back to cricket...my knowledge, whatever I have learnt through bowling I want to pass it to young generation of world cricket doesn't matter what nationality they belong," added Wasim Akram, former Pakistan cricketer and famed pace bowler.

After a notable career that saw him emerge on the Test arena in 1985, Akram retired from competitive international cricket in 2003. He took 414 wickets in 104 Tests and 502 wickets in 356 one-day internationals. (ANI)
