London, Oct 27 Roman Polanski's unlawful sex victim, Samantha Geimer, has called for the dismissal of charges against him, court documents show. Geimer was 13 when Polanski had sex with her in the late 1970s.

However, after his arrest in Zurich, Switzerland last month Geimer's family had said that the arrest of the acclaimed director distressed her because she became the centre of the story again, almost thirty years after the crime.

Last week her lawyers asked California's 2nd District Court of Appeal to dismiss the case against Polanski.

The papers claim that Polanski had to flee from the US as a "corrupt" judge, was handling the case.

"No matter what his crime, Polanski was entitled to be treated fairly; he was not," the BBC quoted the papers, as stating.

The papers also complain that the 45-year-old Geimer was stressed and suffered health problems as the press hounded her after Polanski's arrest.

They say that Geimer and her lawyer received almost 500 phone calls in the course of a month.

The papers said: "Larry King has called, Oprah has called, every national network morning show has called. The LA Times has three reporters calling, as do nearly every major newspaper in the United States and abroad. The response - 'Please leave me alone.' But they won't."

The legal papers add: "The pursuit has caused her to have health-related issues.

"The pursuit has caused her performance at her job to be interfered with and has caused the understandable displeasure of her employer and the real possibility that Samantha could lose her job."

The papers conclude by requesting: "Leave her alone." (ANI)
