Kiwi teacher "shocked" over Australian Penthouse nude pics investigation

Wellington, October 27 After the New Zealand Teachers Council decided to investigate Rachel Whitwell, a primary school teacher whose nude pics surfaced on the Australian Penthouse website, her boyfriend has said that she has been shocked by the move.

Pornographer Steve Crow revealed that her girlfriend was saddened by the turn of events. "She's really surprised it's caused so much grief. The photos are pretty innocuous. She's shocked and gutted," Stuff.co.nz quoted him as saying.

Whitwell had earlier told Sunday News that her antics did not mean she was a bad teacher.

She had said: "People will vouch I'm a really good teacher. My ability to teach and have good relationships with students is not affected.

"I didn't think that anyone from New Zealand would see them."

The six naked pics feature in the "New Aussie Babes" section on australianpenthouse.com.au. (ANI)

Southern Redbacks said that Afridi has been signed, as Mendis would be unavailable due to Sri Lanka's planned tri-series with India and Bangladesh in January.

"We narrowly missed out on finals last season and these signings are definitely a boost to our quest to qualify for the Champions League this year," The News quoted Jamie Cox, South Australia's manager, as saying.

South Australia's Big Bash campaign begins on December 29, when Pakistan will be involved in the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne.

However, Afridi has not played Test cricket since 2006 and is not expected to feature in their Test squad, which would leave him free to take part in the competition. (ANI)
