Noida, Jan 28 (IANS) Even though 'Ishqiya' has got an 'A' certificate without any cuts, the movie is still receiving flak for its steamy scenes and abusive language. But producer Vishal Bhardwaj is unperturbed and says films are a reflection of the society.

'I don't understand why everyone is talking about the kissing scene in the movie. Don't you people kiss in real life?,' Bhardwaj questioned reporters at a press conference here Thursday.

'I personally believe that movies are a reflection of our society. If you roam around the streets, you will see that abusive language and slang are very commonly used by all of us in our daily language. If people will stop using these slang in their language, we will stop using them in movies,' he added.

Bhardwaj, whose 'Omkara' and 'Kaminey' were also laced with slang, clarifies that he doesn't do it to sensationalise his movies.

'I don't use it deliberately to sensationalise my movies. If you have watched all my movies, then you will realise that in 'Maqbool' and 'Makadee' such language is not used. Whereas the backdrop of 'Ishqiya' is such that one has to face the reality and show it in big picture,' he said.

'People should accept the reality. It's entirely up to you whether you are comfortable in watching the movie. If not, then you should not go for it,' he added.

Produced by Bhardwaj and directed by debutant Abhishek Chaubhey, 'Ishqiya' that stars Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi and Vidya Balan is releasing Friday.

The film revolves around a widow called Krishna (Vidya Balan) and two thieves - Khaalujan (Naseer) and Babban (Arshad).
