Washington, Aug 28 (ANI): Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage still judders when he recalls his cockroach stunt in 1989 flick 'Vampire's Kiss', for the actor has insect phobia.

In the movie, the hunky star had to eat a cockroach.

"To this day, people ask me about the cockroach - it was disgusting, I have a fear of bugs and I had to disinfect my mouth with 100-proof vodka and just spit the bug out," Contactmusic quoted the actor, as saying.

The star reveals he still feels nauseous recalling the filthy scene.

"It makes me sick thinking about it and, in the theatre, it was the same reaction: 'Oh no!' I know the reason it is still in video stores is partly because of that," he said. (ANI)
