Minorities front welcomes people friendly budget

New Delhi, Feb. 29 (ANI): All India Minorities Front president S. M. Asif has hailed the Budgetary provisions for Minorities at point No. 47 of the Budget speech especially the proposal to recruit members of minority communities in the Centralaramilitary Forces and also opening of New Branches of Banks in the areas of their density.

He said that introduction of Pre Matric scholarship will be a great instrument in educating the members of minority communities.

He further said however the proposals for multi sectoral development have been given much lesser amount as only Rs. 540 Crores have been proposed for 90 Districts which means an average of only 50 Lakh Rupees per month per district. He said that it is astonishing for anyone that how can Multi sectoral development come in any district in such a small amount. He said that it should have Minimum been Rs. 5 Crore per District per month as an average, so that the light of development could reach the most neglected districts of the country. He demanded an additional allocation of Rs. 5000 Crores in this head.

He expressed surprise over neglection of females of theinority community in the Budget and demanded separate allocation for them especially in education, natal, health, empowerment and employment sectors.(ANI)
