Kathmandu, Apr 30 (ANI): Newly appointed ambassadors for Nepal from five different countries on Wednesday submitted their letter of credentials to Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala.

According to Kantipur, PM Koirala, who has been bestowed with the responsibility of the head-of-state after the April 10 movement, received credential letters from newly appointed ambassadors to Nepal from India, Afghanistan, Iceland, Sweden and the Czech Republic at State Hall in Singha Durbar at five this afternoon.

Newly appointed Indian ambassador to Nepal Rakesh Sood expressed hope that a new government that represents the Constituent Assembly results, agreement and co-ordination between the parties and national unity will be formed in due time.

Sood, who arrived here in the capital last Thursday to replace former ambassador Shiv Shanker Mukherjee has already met Prime Minister Koirala before submitting his letter of credentials.

Sood was India's Permanent Representative to the UN Conference on Disarmament in Geneva. He had also worked as India's deputy chief of mission in Washington. (ANI)
