New York, June 30 Michael Jackson's controversial personal doctor, Conrad Murray, tried to find working phone for 30 minutes to call 911 as the superstar lay dying in his Bel Air mansion, one of the doctor's lawyers revealed. Due to "privacy reasons" landlines in the rented mansion were all shut, and Murray didn't use his cell phone to get help because he didn't know Jackson's address, the lawyer said. Murray called for security, but no one answered. Finally the doctor had to run downstairs to get a chef to summon help for the dying King of Pop. "This entire time, with the exception of him running downstairs, he was performing CPR on Michael Jackson," Edward Chernoff, the lawyer, told CNN. Although, it wasn't clear whether the phone scene contributed to Jackson's death, but every moment is critical when reviving a patient in cardiac arrest like Jackson, reports The New York Daily News. Paramedics raced to the home and tried to resuscitate the 50-year-old superstar. They then took him to UCLA Medical Center, where doctors spent another hour in a futile effort to keep him alive.
