Modi announces Rs. 51 lakhs reward for information on terror network

Gujarat CM Narendra Modi has announced a reward of Rs 51 lakh here today, for information leading to the terror network behind Ahmedabad serial blasts on July 26 and the subsequent planting of bombs in Surat

Ahmedabad, July 30 (ANI): Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has announced a reward of Rs 51 lakh here today, for information leading to the terror network behind Ahmedabad serial blasts on July 26 and the subsequent planting of bombs in Surat.

Modi also announced rewards of Rs 21,000 each for those who gave information about live bombs and cars laden with explosives found from Surat and Ahmedabad.

The live bombs were recovered in and around Varacha area in Surat, where most of the diamond units were located.

Modi said the terrorists by targeting Ahmedabad and Surat, the financial hubs of Gujarat, had plans to cripple the financial activities of the State.

He further added that by targeting cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Hyderabad, it was evident that they wanted to cripple the financial activities of the country. (ANI)
