Ahmedabad, Sep 30 The Home Ministry has filed a revised affidavit in the Ahmedabad court against the Narendra Modi led-Government's argument over the fake encounter of 19-year-old Gujarat college girl Ishrat Jahan and three others. The three-page affidavit was prepared by the Home Ministry and settled by the Attorney General GE Vahanvati. The Gujarat Government claims that its police officials acted on inputs provided by the Union Home Ministry, which dubbed the four as Lashkar operatives and alleged that the Centre had given credibility to the reports that Ishrat Jahan was on a mission to target Gujarat Chief Minister. According to reports, the affidavit will clarify that the information given by the Centre was a tip off and does not validate the action taken by Gujarat Government, which led to the death of Jahan and three others. Earlier, reports had also said that the Centre respects human values and is not only against the fake encounters, but against any encounter. (ANI)
