Chitranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) produced 79 electric locomotives against the target of 76 electronic locomotives and Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW) produced 118 diesel locomotives against the target of 109 diesel locomotives during first half of the fiscal 2007-08 (April-September 2007). Rail Coach Factory (RCF) produced 647 coaches against the target of 645 coaches where as Integral Coach Factory (ICF) produced 550 coaches against the targets of 552 coaches during the same period. Rail Wheel Factory (RWF) produced 62672 wheels and 20335 axles during the same period against the target of 60947 wheels and 20092 axles during April-September 2007.
During the month of September 2007, CLW, DLW, ICF, RCF and RWF have produced 18 electric locomotives, 20 diesel locomotive, 118 coaches, 125 coaches, 12210 wheels and 1570 axles respectively against the target of 16 electric locomotives, 18 diesel locomotive, 120 coaches, 1125 coaches, 10850 wheels and 1340 axels. Except ICF, all other units have exceeded the target.
The punctuality percentage of mail/express trains was 92.0 per cent in Broad Gauge and 99.1 per cent in Metre Gauge during the month of September 2007 compared to 92.0 per cent and 97.6 per cent respectively during the same period last year.
Railways have realized an amount of Rs. 16 crore approximately during the month of September 2007 through ticket checking, which was 9.84 per cent higher than the amount realized during the same period last year.
