Mumbai limping back to normalcy after the terror strike

Mumbai, Nov.30 Mumbai is steadily returning to normal rhythm showcasing resilience despite having faced the deadly terror attacks which hit the city on Wednesday November 26 and continued for almost three days.

People today woke up to a new morning after 60 hours of terror, which shook the nation and left a trail of blood and death.

Shops and businesses across Mumbai opened on Sunday. Buses and the local trains, Mumbai's lifeline, resumed normal operations in the terror hit southern part of the city.

The popular Juhu beach was packed with people on Sunday morning.

Mumbai's famous delicacies 'Vada Pav' and 'Bhel puri' sellers are back on streets with business as usual.

Taj Mahal Hotel,the Heritage monument promises to return to its original form, with all hustle and bustle soon despite having suffered heavy damage.

Industrialist Anil Ambani along with some high profile personalities of the city were back on their daily routine, jogging near the Oberoi Trident Hotels early on Sunday morning; a symbolic display of resilience and an urge to hit back, for which every Mumbaikar and the Mumbai city is admired.

"Much of Mumbai was normal even when the commandos fought the terrorists for the last three days." said a local resident, showing the resilience of a normal Mumbaikar.

The music and the light at the city's discotheques were on normal high again, on Saturday night. Several young men and women thronged the discos for some enjoyment.

"To me, everything is normal. Life has to go on, isn't it?" said a young woman, outside a disco.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Police continued their search operation in the Taj Heritage hotel, the Oberoi Trident hotel and the Nariman House -the places the terrorists took siege of.

All approach roads to the two luxury hotels remained sealed. Local officials said that the sanitizing operations in the buildings would begin only after a green signal from the forensic experts is given.

Detectives continued to comb the affected hotels and Nariman House for clues which would help in unraveling conspiracy behind the terrorist attack..
