The auction will be starting at Re. 1 and all the proceeds from the auction will go towards CPAA (Cancer Patients Aid Association) to support Breast Cancer Management. One of the most expensive items ever to be auctioned on eBay, the Golden Bikini set was created by five craftsmen in 400 hours by the use of a fabric made from extremely thin gold fibers, each thinner than a strand of hair! This makes the entire costume extremely flexible and elastic, even though it weighs approximately 357 grams in gold. The ensemble set is studded with 409 pieces of rubies (53 carats) and 215 pieces of topaz (50 carats). The cost of creation of this unique ensemble was over Rs. 6,00,000.

eBay has been actively supporting charity fundraising, where NGO’s like Mouth & Foot Painting Artists Association, CRY, Spastics Society of India, Help Age, Indian Red Cross Society, Nanhikali, Cancer Patients Aid Association, World Wildlife Fund & Welfare of Stray Dogs have discovered a successful platform to raise funds.
