New Delhi, Talbros Automotive Component Limited (TACL), the leading gasket maker in the country announced its results for the quarter ended Sep. 30, 2007.
Results Overview Q2 FY2007 vis-à-vis Q2 FY2006
Q2 FY2007 marked an all round growth in the performance for Talbros Automotive Components Limited.
-- Net Turnover during the quarter increased by 29% to Rs. 445.78 million from Rs. 344.76 million reported in corresponding quarter of the previous year.
-- PBIDT in the present quarter was up by 37% to Rs. 54.70 million from Rs. 40.05 million reported in the previous quarter.
-- PAT was higher by 41% to Rs. 24.08 million.
The EPS for the 2nd quarter stood at Rs. 2.12 as compared to Rs. 1.60 in the corresponding period last year.
Results Overview for Half Year Ended Sep. 07 vs Half Year Ended Sep. 06:
Net Turnover was up by 30% at Rs. 849.80 million compared to Rs. 650.86 million in the corresponding period.
PBIDT in the present half year period showed an increase of 50% at Rs. 115 million as compared to Rs. 79.26 million in the previous period.
PAT for the half year period stood at Rs. 54.82 million
EPS stood at Rs. 4.07 as compared to Rs. 3.16 in the corresponding period last year.
TACL has been manufacturing automotive and industrial gaskets, forged auto components and sheet metal components for supplies to domestic and overseas customers. It has technical collaborations with Federal Mogul group of USA, Nippon Leakless Corporation of Japan in the field of gaskets and with Presswerk Krefeld Gmbh (PWK) of Germany for manufacturing of forged components. TACL has strong order book for its forgings and PWK is also interested to buy back these components.
TACL has manufacturing plants located in Faridabad, Chennai, Pune, Gurgaon, Bawal and Sohna ( Haryana).
The Company is supplying its gaskets to almost all major Original Equipment Manufacturers in India like, Tata Cummins, Tata Motors, Hero Honda, Ashok Leyland, Hyundai Motors, Bajaj Auto, Honda Motor Cycles & Scooters Ltd., Eicher Motors, Escorts, New Holland Tractors, Mahindra & Mahindra etc. About 75% of the gasket business comes from supplies to OEMs.
