Film: 'Bitch Slap'; Director: Rick Jacobson; Cast: Julia Voth, Erin Cummings, America Olivo, Michael Hurst, Ron Melendez; Rating: *1/2

It was a word that was censored from the Indian screens less than a decade back. But the sign of the times is that not only is the word 'bitch' not 'beeped', but a lot of other scenes that would have been simply unacceptable make it to the screen in this film.

Sadly, neither the plot, nor the glamorous three women or the curse words used have the stamp of originality written on it.

Three vixen women, in the middle of a 'hot' American desert, are looking for diamonds. They spill expletives as if that was what they had learnt first at school and they are proud to flaunt their perfect bodies.

We come across a secret agency called Flash Force Foxy with a covert operative called 'Foxy 69', lot of shouting, explosion, big guns, women in a terrible cat fight and pulling each other's hair out...

'Bitch Slap' is a loud, crass, pointless collection of 'cat fights' that is as boring as it is uninspiring. Even in showing 'women-power', where they bash up men, Tarantino's worst film 'Death Proof' still managed a far superior job.

Of course, if the film were only about the show of the female body, it would have been a masterpiece of cinema, especially in their cliche. It is also worse than most average Bollywood films.

The suspense, though cliched and predictable for any decent cinema lover as it has been used many times over since times immemorial, could have been better executed to make for a better film.

In short, this film is one which you will do yourself a favour by missing, unless you have a lot of time to waste.
