Los Angeles, Aug 30 (IANS) Set in the World War II, 'The Pacific' was named the outstanding miniseries at the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards Sunday.

Directed by Jeremy Podeswa, the 10-part series focuses on the US Marine Corps' battle with the Japanese in the Pacific during World War II.
