| BACKGROUND |
Having graduated in science and engineering, migrating to USA in 1980 and establishing successful business there, our chairman was directed by a strong desire to give something back to the motherland. Since he attributed his success to the blend of best education and traditional values, no other form of giving could have topped the importance of providing the same to the place of his origin. And this school is a manifestation of those sentiments.
SESOMU SCHOOL with its majestic building overlooking National Highway 11 in Sri Dungargarh has already become a landmark in the northwestern part of Rajasthan. Build by USA based NRI Sri Jagdish P. Mundhra in memory of his parents, late SErmal SOnadevi MUndhra (hence the school name) the school is run by a charitable trust as a not-for-profit entity, Starting in July 1999 as an English medium, coeducational school offering CBSE curriculum up to class V, it is being progressively raised to start classes X in 2004-05 and XII in 2006-07 sessions. Session 2002-03 saw the start of hotel for boys and girls of class III and up incorporating excellent boarding and vegetarian mess facility. TOP |
| AIMS AND OBJECTIVES |
The school is dedicated to the cause of value based education aiming at an all round and harmonious development of a child so as to enable him to manifest the perfection inherent in him to the optimum level. We at Sesomu firmly believe that every child is born with some creativity or the other. As such every child is encouraged to discover and develop his own creativity through a set of well-planned and co-curricular activities.
Traditional and age old faculties like meditation, yoga and pranayam form a part of regular practice, which help the child develop the mental and physical capabilities to the utmost. | CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES |

Although excellence in academics is the cornerstone of child development at Sesomu, due importance is attached to an all-round emancipation through various co-curricular activities. Activities such as debates, quiz, declamation contests, mono acting, music, dance, dramatics etc. form part of the school curriculum. Environmental awareness, love of nature and concern for fellow human beings is taught to students by participation in various hands-on projects.
A sense of competition always brings out the best in a child. the whole student body of the school is divided in four houses, viz Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire, and Topaz Houses. Inter house activities are organized periodically to inculcate sense of healthy competitions among children. These events help qualities of reasoning, leadership, compassion and creativity to flourish in young minds.

Great importance is attached to the quality of staff at Sesomu. Trained, qualified and experienced teachers are appointed to impart education. Qualities of compassion, devotion to duty, good manners, helpfulness and dedication are some of the pre-requisites of teachers at Sesomu. Teacher skill enhancement is a constant phenomenon at Sesomu.

| GAMES AND SPORTS |

The school boasts of a grass football field with a concrete basketball court and several volleyball, cricket and kho-kho courts. A covered swimming pool and indoor games like badminton, table tennis etc. enable the students to acquire different skills. Children are encouraged to participate in all the sports activities. Inter- house and intra-house competitions are routinely organized.

| MESS AND MEALS |
| A sumptuous vegetarian diet consisting of milk, curd, fresh fruits etc. is cooked in neat kitchen laden with modern appliances. Most of the vegetables are gown on the campus with organic manure. A vast array of different fruit trees has been planted on the campus. Good nutrition is always kept in mind while designing a well balanced diet. |

EDUCATIONAL TOURS
Learning in the classroom is complemented and supplemented by undertaking educational tours. Boarders are taken on educational field trips at least once a year. Actual expense incurred is debited to the account of the student. The tour may encompass a visit to an industry, an agricultural farm, a place of historical importance or any establishment, which enhance their knowledge. TOP |
