Dr. G.A. Ghanshyam, is working as Associate Professor, Head, Dept. of English, Govt. M.L. Shukla College, Seepat, Bilaspur (C.G.)
He has 52 research papers/articles published in various International and National Journals and Edited Books to his credit.
He has edited a book entitled "Glimpses of Post Independence Indian English Fiction" with Dr. S. Chandramouli of Hyderabad.
His second edited book "Vignettes of Indian English Literature" is in Press.
He is engaged in his third book on English Language Teaching.
03 scholars have submitted their Ph.D. thesis under his guidance.
Dr. Ghanshyam has attended 12 International and 30 National Conferences and has presented his scholarly papers.
His paper "Potentiality of Drama in Teaching English" has been awarded 300 US Dollars by Asia Teachers of English as Foreign Language, and was invited to present his paper at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2007. He was one among the 30 Asians to be awarded and from India including him only two have been awarded.
Dr. Ghanshyam was selected by Rotary International to represent India in England for a month in 2005 and has stayed with 5 British families there under Group Study Exchange Programme. (He was one among the four selected from M.P., Orissa and Chhattisgarh)
He has worked as Deputy Registrar in various departments of Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur for a period of two years.
He was and Co-ordinator when NAAC team visited Govt. Girls' P.G. College, Bilaspur and the college has got B++ grade.
He is the Cultural Secretary of prestigious Indian Association for English Studies, Executive Member of English Language Teachers' Association of India (ELTAI), Co-ordinator of ELTAI, Bilaspur Chapter and is associated with various academic bodies.
He has completed a Minor Research Project sanctioned by UGC on Girish Karnad's Plays.
He is guiding research scholars for their Ph.D. degree.
