Exercise releases "Happy Hormones"


In today's technology driven world, its easy to forget that we are born movers, animals, because we have engineered movements out of our lives. Ironically, the human biological capacity is fading away in modern society through sedentary lifestyle. We all know exercise makes us feel better, but most of us have no idea, why?

Exercise= Endorphins+Serotonin+dopamine = Happy Hormones

Happy hormones are natural opium like hormones that are produced by pitutary galnd and hypothalamus of body. These hormones act on our brain to block its ability to recieve pain.

Endorphins, serotonin and dopamine also act on our emmotions . They creat sense of pleasure making us feel empowered and good.

Now the question is HOW TO OPTIMIZE OUR HAPPY HORMONE LEVEL ?

EXERCISE: Studies have shown thatexercising regularly for 20 minutes or more can promote happy hormones sectreation.These hormones are naturally released during exercise. This effecty is especially pronounced during prolongedperiods of strenous exercise. After exercise instead of being tired , you may feel more refreshed, energetic, empowered and good for the next couple of hours. This is dur to high levels of Endorphins, serotonin and Dopamine that remain in our system .

 

HEALTHY AND BALANCED DIET:

Happy hormones are made of fats and sugers. This is why some people who do not have enogh body fat or have eating disorders are highlymoody and deppressed. In order to maintain endorphin level, there is need to be a moderate level of physical exrercises with balanced diet.Moderating your intake of sugar, fat, and cholesterol can return too-low dopamine levels to normal, while eating bananas and whole grains can prompt an increase in production. 

CHOCOLATES: Even a single bar of chocolate causes the release of endorphins. Whenever you feel down, stop thinking about the weight and grab a chocolate to lift up your mood and body. This is one of the reasons that people often crave for chocolate in stress and associate happy feelings with it.

If you find yourself exhausted, overwhelmed, up and down and about to meltdown, its time to stop being stressed and depressed and learn how to unleash your happy hormones.

So exercises and balanced diet not only keep us physically fit and strong but also make us feel happy , energetic , refreshed,empowered.
