BIG 92.7 FM initiates "Raahat - Ek Abhiyan" Campaign

A drive to collect clothes and blankets for the needy

New Delhi, Delhi, (, With the winter chill having set in and especially so in northern India, BIG 92.7 FM India’s No. 1 FM Station, is enabling citizens across its northern stations to donate clothes and blankets for the needy. The drive, aptly titled ‘Raahat – Ek Abhiyan’ is being hosted across the stations of Northern India for the month of Decemeber.

This offering from BIG 92.7 FM, is yet another Life Banao initative to help the needy face the winter chill. The stations have identified key locations across the cities, where people can send in their clothing and blankets. The same will be collected, sorted and then distributed among the needy, by the jocks of the Station. Along with the employees of BIG 92.7 FM being greatly involved in this initative and hence donating generously, the Stations have seen several corporate houses, and NGO’s also coming forward to render support for the noble initative.

The initative has met with tremendous success in Amritsar, where clothes and blankets came in, in large numbers and have already been distributed among the needy and Stations like Chandigarh, Agra, Udaipur and Ajmer are also taking forward the initative in their cities this month. Several of the Stations are exploring putting together a charity show, the proceeds of which will go to the Raahat – Ek Abhiyan. This offering is yet another classic example of the Station living its brand-line Suno Sunao, Life Banao! both on air and off air… this time, involving listeners too.

Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Praveen Malhotra, Vice President – Sales & Head – North Operations, BIG 92.7 FM said Raahat – Ek Abhiyan was conceptualized to be able to use the radio platform effectively and to live our brand-line – Suno Sunao, Life Banao! The support that we have received from listeners has been phenomenal and has been so encouraging that we are taking it across the Northern cities. We look forward to offering similar initiatives from BIG 92.7 FM even in the future.”
